AHA CPR/BLS Initial Instructor
Pre-Requisite: BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Card - Must be AHAOnline AHA BLS Essential Certificate.
This certification has 3 parts:
*All Instructions will be found on the BTC Blackboard Learning Management System once you are registered. Once you are registered, you should receive information on how to access Blackboard.
1.AHA Online Course - Absolute pre-requisite to attend the face-to-face. Purchased separately from the face-to-face class.
2.Face-to-Face Course - BLS Instructor Manual required - purchased separately. Mandatory classroom is Saturday, March 1 from 8 am – 2 pm in room 5401 at Public Safety Building.
3.Successfully teach a class with an AHA TCF mentor/monitor within 6 months and return the mentoring form.

Forklift Train the Trainer

This course course teaches candidate instructors how to develop and deliver complete in-house training programs, design exercises for staff evaluations, and instruct non-operators how to work safely around forklifts. Topics you’ll learn during the course include: OSHA Powered Industrial Truck Standard 1910.178 and 1926.602 compliance, how to evaluate operators’ performance, how to educate non-operators about working safely around powered industrial trucks and how to teach safe procedures and maintenance
Spring - Group Dynamics - Monroe
Group Dynamic is a Wisconsin highway safety initiative aimed at assisting first-time OWI (operation while intoxicated) offenders in changing their impaired driving behavior. This course consists of a minimum of 21 hours of interactive education. Students receive information about short- and long-term effects of alcohol and other drugs, alcohol concentration and impairment and Wisconsin OWI-related laws and penalties. Students also complete a Personal Change Plan to help them avoid future problems with impaired driving. The emphasis of Group Dynamics is on education and changing impaired driving behavior, not on the treatment of addiction.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Failure to attend ALL class sessions or being late will result in forfeiture of your entire class fee, and you will be put in non-compliance with the WI Department of Transportation.
You must have an assessment completed prior to taking this class.
