Basic Life Support (BLS) recertification courses allow you to update your skills, refresh your memory and extend your certification by two years. Designed for those whose credentials are still valid (or within 30 days of expiring), BLS renewal courses make it possible to avoid a lapse in certification so you can stay certified and stay on the job.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.

This BLS course trains healthcare workers and other personnel to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

This course prepares participants to become American Heart Association (AHA) instructors for Basic Life Support (BLS) and Heartsaver courses. 

To take this class you must:

1. Hold a current AHA BLS Provider card
2. Purchase the 2025 BLS Instructor Manual (ISBN:978-1-68472-311-9)
3. Complete the BLS Instructor Essentials Online and Core course prior to the classroom session.
4. Submit proof of completion for the online course and a copy of current BLS Provider card

Students will need to be monitored for 6 months in order to receive their certification card and that they will not be allowed into class without the required listed pre-requisites.
